Thom masterson

Thom has been involved in volleyball for over 40 years as a player, coach, and referee. His love for the sport began in Dallas, Texas, where he first served as team manager for his older sister’s varsity team before going on to play collegiately at the University of Missouri. He continued competing until the birth of his first daughter.

His coaching career includes club volleyball, serving as head coach at Westfield, JV coach at Sheridan and Lawrence North, and varsity assistant coach at Guerin Catholic. This season will be Thom’s first with Hoosier Elite, where he will lead the 11U team. He is excited to help his players build confidence while developing proper technique, teamwork, competitiveness, and a strong understanding of the game.

Thom and his wife, Beth, have been married for 36 years. They are proud parents of two grown daughters and grandparents to what they proudly call “the three best grandchildren in the world.”

We’re excited to have Thom on our coaching staff this season and look forward to the experience and passion he brings to our 11U athletes.
